It’s October, almost November, which means Golden Hour is here and Fall family photos are in full swing. Trying to coordinate what a whole family is going to wear can feel overwhelming. I have put together a few tips and ideas to help you simplify the process and give you all the inspiration you need for a stylish, stress free photoshoot.
Choose a color palette! Having a color palette can be a game changer! Creating visual appeal through a well chosen color palette ensures the whole family will coordinate seamlessly and complement each other as well as the setting. Think deep greens, rust, mustard yellow, browns, black and creams. These Fall colors naturally complement each other and the backdrop where your photos will be taken. The goal is to balance the colors across your family without being too matchy-matchy! keeping with 2-3 colors is the perfect way to look cohesive, while too many colors can make your pictures feel messy.
Prioritizing taking family photos every year is so important. I know it can seem stressful but I hope this blog post can remove some of the stress from choosing outfits and allow you to focus on the experience because it is always worth it in the end and something to cherish. Family’s change so quickly over a year and taking family photos is just one way to preserve those sweet memories.
